Kinder- und Jugendheilkunde

Each year our department provides inpatient care to over 9,000 children and adolescents and outpatient care to around 40,000 children and adolescents (over 100,000 outpatient visits). This care is divided up among five divisions and the joint facility of the hospital, where a total of 166 beds are available. 87 beds are available for accompanying adults in modified parent-child rooms and every year around 7,500 accompanying adults are accommodated. The outpatient area is divided into the large general clinic and emergency clinic with adjoining ultrasound diagnostics and 22 special clinics.

The uniqueness and the added value of our department are the result of the symbiosis between patient care, research and education. The department is jointly operated by the Medical University of Graz and the Styrian Hospital Association (KAGes). This interdisciplinary cooperation between both providers at the University Hospital Graz site is also reflected on our website. More information on patient care can be found at the University Hospital Graz website.
